How to Use the Negative Marking Calculator

Formula Used
Marks Gained = Correct Answers × Marks per Correct Answer
Marks Deducted = Wrong Answers × Negative Marks per Wrong Answer
Final Score = Marks Gained - Marks Deducted
Percentage = (Final Score / Maximum Marks) × 100
Pro Tip
If you're unsure about an answer, consider the risk! With 1/4th negative marking, you need to be at least 25% confident to attempt a question. With 1/3rd negative marking, you need at least 33% confidence.
