Understanding the Results

Example Calculation
If your birth date is January 15, 1995 and today is January 15, 2025:

- Total Days: 10,957 days (approximately)
If your birth date is March 10, 2000 and you calculate to January 15, 2025:
- Chronological Age: 24 years, 10 months, 5 days

How the Calculation Works
The calculator uses precise date arithmetic:
- It calculates the difference between the end date and birth date
- Years are calculated by finding complete year periods
- Months are calculated from the remaining period after years
- Days are calculated from the remaining period after years and months
- Leap years and varying month lengths are automatically handled

Important Notes
- The calculator uses the Gregorian calendar system
- All calculations are based on calendar dates, not time of day
- Leap years (years divisible by 4, except century years not divisible by 400) are handled correctly
- Negative ages are not possible - the end date must be after the birth date
